Retracted Section: The helical or coiled length of the product (when relaxed)

Extended (Working) Length: The maximum distance that the retractile will extend to

Retractile/Coil Body Diameter: The diameter of the retracted/coiled section

Tangents: The straight, uncoiled sections of the retractile cord, located at each end  

Tangent Configuration: Tangents can either be parallel to the coil or drop (90 degree angle to the coil)





Strand Configurations: When selecting the AWG and strands of the individual conductors, it is important to use flex type stranding. These are strand configurations that utilize multiple strands of fine wire, for flex life and flexibility.
